Today you will not be reading the normal ramblings of my wonderful husband, but instead I will be doing the rambling.
Before I start to ramble, I do have to stress that this is in no way Bob’s (my husband) opinion, although he may agree with some of what I am about to say.
Tyler Cruz….there is only one word to sum up the guy…..douchebag. My husband has had a few run ins with the boy, I find him to be completely arrogant and stuck up. Not only through personal experience have i got this impression off him, but through his blog. I have read his blog and have thought to myself, man what a douchebag.
How to spot a online douchebag
1. When you send a list of question to the supposed douchebag, after him agreeing to do an interview, he will send it back and say he was insulted because the questions were not good enough for him to answer.
2. Will refer to themselves as “like Bill Gates”.
3. They post thing such as, and I quote…
“A week ago, in my Grasping Opportunities: Making Money out of Nothing post, I showcased my successful brokering of a very premium domain. Immediately following the post I started receiving quite a few e-mails from people asking me to sell their domains.Even though I specifically disclaimed people to only contact me if they had a truely premium domain…
… I inevitably received the expected e-mails from people who completely overvalue and overprice their domains. I won’t name names here or give out specific examples to protect the guilty. This happens all the time… people all too often overvalue domains.To illustrate this point, I’m going to go search right now for some random domains for sale. I’ll give myself 5-minutes. Be right back…..”
4. They display their daily average.
So that, my friends, is how to spot an online douchebag.
I would like to take the time and help those who may be in serious trouble of becoming an online douchebag. Don’t worry, it is reversible, just take down your daily average and remember the little people. Be humble. Remember, the first step to recovery is noticing your douchebag ways, and taking down your daily average damn it.

Don’t worry: he will eventually get what he deserves. His only “successful” website has been PokerForums, and once that’s over (and it will), he’ll have no income and have to turn to his parents to pay for his apartment (which was also a bad decision and way to spend your money, but that’s another story). I await the day.

I smell jealousy. I admit he is not the brightest rock under the sun but… and I’m not trying to stick up for him because I do not know him. I know though that if people emailed me to sell their domains for thousands of dollars and they weren’t even worth $50 I would be pissed off wouldn’t you? Especially if you receive a mess of them. I hate when people email me about stupid crap or I get spam mail so imagine how he felt.
Displaying your daily average, I do not see what the big deal is I just think you guys are jealous of him. We all know how much money Bill Gates or any of the high rollers have so whats the difference?
So is your next blog going to be about Jon W.? Seems you just want to stir up an argument for publicity (aka traffic).

Well, this is the first time I have visited this site, I have however read the tylercruz blog. I like the way he displays his daily average revenue, it can be a way to keep himself motivated as well as motivate others. I do not know him, but I have not read anything that would warrant him being called a “douchebag”

From reading Tyler’s blog only, he doesn’t seem that bad.
Most successful people can be viewed as you’ve described one time or another. They value their time and themselves. However, the reply to your questions do seem a bit rude.
Regarding displaying daily averages, I honestly believe every entrepreneur blog so do it! I know I will be when I start earning something:D

Haha that’s great. Didn’t know others felt the same. I saw one of his ‘video updates’ and read just a couple of his entries before I really got the impression that he seemed very very arrogant. Especially the video about his condo. I was like woah woah woah, I thought it was just the way he talked or I don’t know. There was just something weird about it that made it seemed like he was so full of himself.

This is some great stuff! I was laughing my ass off the whole time. By the way, his condo is surrounded by apartments from the 1980’s, it also has the highest crime rate (car thefts, etc) in the whole city), so great, good luck with that. You will not get your money out of this one, good that your mummy & daddy co-signed.

I agree Bob, keep her, I love my daughter-in-law!
I have to agree stat posting is good motivation for others so they can see the potential of being an internet entrepreneur and focuses the netpreneur on his or her financial progress.
I also do believe Tyler has forgotten what it was like to start out. He is probably burnt out from people sucking him dry and not giving anything in return. He should just take a break instead of referring to the new netpreneurs who have the guts to contact him as “the guilty” and putting them down. He should be giving them some help how to value /price a site.
Bob, you’ve sold a few sites, maybe you could let us know how you price them and what gives them value.

Yeah maybe it was the fact that he just moved out from living with his parents for all his life and that he was excited. Look at his life and how lucky he is. He does work for his money and he should be proud of himself. If you were him you would be stoked too…
Don’t hate or make enemies, it will bite you in the ass. Especially if someone makes more money then you….

haha, quite a funny post. Never really had any problems with him. I have spoken to other internet entreprenuers that dont like his attitude. I read his blog sometimes and quite like it.

If you want to target online douchebags, you might want to focus on the one who coded his name and url into a hidden h1 on the theme you’re using for this blog. On what planet is a visible link in the footer not sufficient?

I agree, I’ve seen him rip into some newbies who asked him what they thought of their site (which wasnt bad, did need work though). He responded with “its crap! Get off the internet blah blah etc..”

Ha…Someday I hope to make as much money as Tyler Cruz. I do like his daily average. I wish he would update it monthly. I heard a quote one time:
“I used to be conceited…now I’m perfect”
Seems that most online entrepreneurs fall into this category at some point in their lives. Except for me, I’m perfect.

When I first started in my journey as an Internet Publisher, I read Tyler Cruz’s blog but after learning how cocky and annoying he was I lost all respect for him.
Now, his blog has lost my collection of blogs to read.
