Great news! I was able to sell the website for $550 the day before we left on vacation. Thanks to khalid, he contacted the person who ended up buying the site. This is the second time khalid has helped sell a site for money to spend on vacation.
An update, we are in Anaheim, California. Right now, I’m sitting on a nice chair relaxing while my wonderful and don’t forget beautiful wife is sleeping on maybe one of the best hotel beds ever. Has it crossed your mind, “How is he updating his blog on vacation in his hotel room?” It is a great story, let me tell you. The day before we left on vacation, my brother-in-law found a brand new laptop at the bottom of a nasty dumpster at my house. He was kind enough to give me the laptop because he knew how much I’ve been wanting one. I have to admin that day was the first time I had to go dumpster-diving but wouldn’t you. I was well worth the dumpster stench because the laptop was a great computer. It has a 2.0ghz processor, 1g of ram, and a 80g hard drive. Now, I know you would of done the same to get a laptop like this one.
Last night we went on Splash Mountain. The ride was great! The people in front of us kept of screaming on all the small drops. I kept on making comment like, “Wow the sound like they are having fun” or “Just think in a sec that can be us” even though I was making those comments, I really did enjoy the rush from looking off the edge right before the big drop. We also went on Space Mountain, which was also great and Indiana Jones, which was disappointing because we had to wait almost 2 hours.
I better get going.

My wife wants loves scary rides unlike her husband but I reluctantly agreed to go on Tower of Terror… I just don’t understand why people enjoy screaming and have that feeling in their Stomach. you know that feeling! it makes me cringe every time I think about it.

Selling Website Making $48 A Month…

I would like to apologize for the delayed update on the $50 Into $1 A Day challenge. My only excuse is that I’ve just been lazy and took about a month break from working on my online projects. I wanted a month off to help clear my mind and get back on track. Well… I can tell you now that I am ready more than ever and have so much to tell you all. For example, my mother and I are in the process of developing our first e-commerce site. Its still in the planning stages but our service will high help you increase your product on your online projects. Getting back to the $50 Into $1 A Day, of course!
The time frame was April 18 to June 18.
Expense
$1.19, Domain
$22.10, Content
$9.75, More Content
$33.04, Total
Earnings
$3.28, ShoppingAds
$5.72, Kontera
$66.04, Adsense
$7.00, Private Advertiser
$82.04, Total earnings
$0.91, daily average
So the question here is… Was the challenge successful? It might not of reached the wanted goal of $1 a day but I’ll take the extra $27.30 a month anytime. Also another thing to keep in mind is future plans are to leave this project alone and let the domain age and increase in the search engines.

I’ve been pretty busy lately and no I haven’t for got about $50 Into $1 A Day challenge. There just haven’t been much to update with seeing that I haven’t done anything new with it. I’ll be posting the earnings and stats for may, soon. I think the Daily average is around $0.80 but I might be wrong. Anyways everything is still going good with it.

This post is sponsored by www.GoDaddy.com

With this site being a baby still, under a month old, the progress and growth has been exciting and interesting. I hope everyone is enjoying this challenge as much as I have been. It’s been a little of a 10 days since the last update on the progress, because after the site was finished developed, there isn’t much to do or talk about. Since the last update, I’ve been mainly working on my other projects.
What has been done in the past week? Let me think… Oh Yeah! Not Much.
- Re-wrote The MRSA Treatment Article
It took me about 20 minutes to re-write the article. The reason of doing so was to be able to submit it to article directories for more Back links.
- Submitted The Article To Directories
Spent around 30 minutes submitting to this article to around 10 article directories.
- 2 Blog Comment Posts
Just posted some small comments on related blogs.
Income
With these three sources of income (Adsense, Kontera, and ShoppingAds) the site has earned a total of $12.15 making the daily average to $0.50. This means this challenge is going as planned.

Question And Answer
Henry Asked, “I may be dense but, who did you register the domain with?”
My Response, “Henry don’t worry about asking any question. It was registered at www.GoDaddy.com.”
www.youngentrepreneur.com
Aletheides at youngentrepreneur.com enjoyed reading this challange and was nice enough to write this post on their forum, $50 Into a $1 A Day. I would like to welcome the visitors from youngentrepreneur.com and hope you all enjoy this challenge.

It seems like it has been longer than just 13 days since starting this challenge. I might be able to finish this challenge sooner than the expected 3 months. Even if the site begins earning $1 a day, I will still keep you updated on it at lease 3 month. Here are the stats so far:

Not to bad for a site that is only thirteen days old. It has received 345 unique visitors and has earned $4.57.
Earning
$4.11, Adsense
$0.07, ShoppingAds
$0.39, Kontera
$4.57, Total
$0.35, Daily Average
Spending
$1.19, Domain
$22.10, Content
$9.75, Off Site Article
$33.04, Total
I’ve spent $33.04 of the $50.00 leaving me with $16.96 to spend. I recently spent another $9.75 for an article allowing me to use it to setup a lens, hub page, and to send to article directories.

Guess who’s tired… This guy! This morning started out a little crappy because of an awful dream. It woke me up at 5:30am and I couldn’t go back to sleep. Basically it was a dream about someone shooting me. When I decided to wakeup and get the computer, I was like a zombie at the keyboard. I was possibly drooling with a little eye twitch too. Well of course until I got my coffee than I became a half zombie still not capable of using my brain to work on my sites. Finally 7 hours later! I’m ready to write about the progress of the $50 Into $1 A Day Challenge.
So… I fibbed a little. In the last post I stated, “With the site done, the link development process begins.†Wrong! I decided to put some more time into the site and develop a simple blog on the site to help with promoting the site by allowing me to use trackbacks. I still might do a couple of other small things to the site but nothing major. Most of my time will be spent on the link development for now on.
What have I been up to with this challenge for the past couple of days? Not much. I don’t want to force too much at this stage of link development. I want search engine to see the increase of links as natural. These are the things done in the past couple of days:
- Setting up the blog
- Posted three more blog comments on related Blogs
- Sent link exchange request with two related sites.
- Added Kontera
Reader’s To Do List
- Write another (400 to 500 words) article
All you have to do is write another into article on your topic so you can submit it to article directories.
- Comment on related Blogs
Find two more related Blogs to comment on. Don’t Spam these comment with links just write the comments tastefully.
- Add a WordPress Blog
This will allow your visitors to trust the site more. Also it will give search engines more pages to index.
What does everyone think? Is this challenge even worth doing? I can hear people say, “$1 a day! WTF! I can’t do anything with an extra $30 a month. my phone bill is more then that.” I would respond with, “When I first started, it took me three months to earn $30 each month and I was excited because I knew if I could make $30 month online. I could make $3,000 month. Also when I first started, my focus was to develop site to improve my skills as an Internet Publisher. I might not be making $3,000 a month, yet, but I’m half way there.” Even though $1 a day isn’t that much, I would take that $1 a day over $0 a day… anytime!

Welcome readers to another electrifying day on this challenge, meaning another interesting blog post on $50 into $1 A Day. To reassure you everything is proceeding as intended. To bring everyone one to the same page on this challenge, here is a little update. It begun wanting to help other Internet Publishers but allowing them to follow me through the process of developing and promoting a mini content site with only $50 to invest. The only way to achieve victory is by having this $50 mini content site earning $1 a day in three months (June 18). After four days, the site is developed with a total of 7 pages, basic logo, and three streams of income. That brings everyone up to date. With the site done, the link development process begins. I want this site to be ranked first in search engines for its main keyword.
The first step is already done on the link development, which is getting it index in search engines.
Link Development
Lets get this mini content site making some money!
This is the point where most Internet Publishers fail… Any Schmuck can develop a site but the problem is getting that site to earn money. These past two days, I’ve been going full speed on the link development process. The following are the things already done:
- Posted two blog comments on related Blogs.
- Submitted the sitemap.xml to Google Webmaster Tools
- Submitted to 20 free directories
- Developed a mini blog on wordpress.
Reader’s To Do List
- Find some related Blogs to comment on
In Google, type keyword + comment. That should get you on the right path.
- Submit to 20 directories
You can use one of my previous post’s to achieve this. http://bobschmuck.com/20-free-directories-submit-your-site/
- Develop a Mini Blog on WordPress
On that blog, add a link to your mini content site.
My old online buddy, Khalid has wrote a great blog post on “Breaking Down Success“. His post explains why even $1 a day is important. If you have some free time, I would recommend you reading this inspirational blog post.

Another 45 minutes spend on developing this site, mrsasuperbug.info, for the challenge. It’s getting very close to begin the link development process to get this baby ranking in search engines. The logo still needs to be worked on because it is to difficult to read but I just wanted something there to start out with. The following is the work that I’ve finished today and the future work needing to be done for the site development step.
Finished Work
- Adsense
- Meta Tags
- All the Pages of Content
Future Work – Update
- Privacy Policy – Done
- Simple Sitemap – Done
- Adding ShoppingAds – Done
- Redesign the logo – Done
- Adding Kontera- Contacted them to add this site to my account.
Reader’s To Do List
Todays list of thinks you need to do to begin your journey to $1 a day mini content site.
- Find a Design
A very simple way to get a design for your mini content site is by using one of the free web site templates at oswd.org.
- Add the content
Hopefully, your writer has finished your articles for your site. If so, begin adding it to the site.
- Make a logo
Remember it doesn’t have to be the nicest or coolest, it just has to fit into the design of the site. If you need a program to design your logo, I would recommend downloading “Greenbox Logo Maker†at glowleaf.net/tools. Also you should read his blog. I just recently found it and enjoyed his articles.
That pretty much covers today. After work, I might have a little be more time and decided to finish the rest of Future Work, tonight.

With a limited amount of time to get the site developed, promoted, indexed in search engines, and earn the income, it is time to get to work. Take a look at the site so far. Not to shabby for only spending a total of 58 minutes to get it to this point. It might not be the best design but from experience I know this basic design will do for this type of challenge.
- Coded a simple design
- Created the logo
- Added the first page of content
- Statcounter
The development part of the site is almost done with a few things needing to be done. I still need to finish the meta tags, adding the other pages, sitemap, and the privacy policy. After those things are done, my time will be used on getting backlinks to get the site ranking and earning $1 a day. The coolest part amount mini content sites are the little amount involved developing the site. Most of the time is spent promoting the site.
Do you ever thought it could be this easy? Well… it is! I’ve developed many mini content sites for the past couple of years and found that even if they are small simple sites they can still rank in search engines and bring in a nice amount of monthly income.
