Buying A Website And Refurnishing It = Money

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:08 pm

I’m ready to write just went to Circle K and bought a Monster energy drink. Let me think… What will we be talking about tonight? Oh. I know what we could talk about, making money online, seeing that I do like doing that. We will focus this blog post on buying a website and refurnishing it to get back our Initial investment back. We will be using one of my resent personal experience in doing this.

A couple of days ago, I bought Nightmare On Elm Street 2010 Trailer, nightmareonelmstreettrailer.com, which is a small movie trailer website for the upcoming Freddy Krueger movie remake, at the price of $40. There were a few reasons why I bought it. Here are a couple:

  • PR2
  • Search Engine Traffic
  • Earned $3 last month
  • Keyword in the domain

With those reasons, I bought the website in a span of maybe 1 hour of noticing it. Seeing the original design, I knew improving the website design wouldn’t be to tough. With the website bought, I begun improving it instantly. Take a look at the original design and the redesign, below. I rearranged the adsense so it would fit better and get more clicks, made the design more darker and scarier, added and changed the content, made the navigation on top, and created more pages to get indexed. What do you think?

So… Lets talk about the numbers now. Okay, its only been five days since purchasing the website but already I’ve earned over half of the initial Investment, which has made me very satisfied. Lets break it down:

Expense:
Initial Investment = $40
Ad Listing on Sitepoint = $10

Income:
Adsense = $0.19
Private Advertisers = $20

Total = $20.19

Not to shabby, Invest $40 and in five days earn 50% back. I’ll keep everyone updated on the progress of this project. Have a good night.

Online Window Shopping

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:01 pm

Now that I’m thinking about getting back on track working on making some money, I took a side trip on line and was doing an Internet version of window-shopping. There were a few things I was added to my wish list.

I was looking at what is new in alarm clocks and stumbled on a site that had a Howard Miller clock. The alarm clock wasn’t quite high tech enough for me, but I started looking at the other clocks. They were beautiful! There were some pricey ones but also some affordable tabletop clocks. There’s a technology collection (those were my style) and some desk essentials that may be put on my wish list.

The site had great prices, much lower than the suggested retail price. I started looking around at some of the other stuff on the site. There are clocks that could be considered an investment and passed down from generation to generation. The Seth Thomas clock collection even had a Guinness beer clock! Seth Thomas clocks is America’s oldest clockmaker, they have been around since 1813. Their collection includes specialty clocks, pendulum clocks, and so much more. They are high quality and priced reasonably. They have nautical style clocks, indoor-outdoor clocks, and so much more.

Someday when I can afford my own house you might find one of those Howard Miller grandfather clock. I will have to really cut back on my WOW playing and get to work on my sites to get the income to afford one of those! It is pretty impressive when you walk into a room and see a beautiful grandfather clock. I was shocked at the price reduction on the site. Some of the grandfather clocks sold as much as $1500 less than the suggested retail price.

For now I’ll be satisfied with building up my savings with my Internet income so that I can move towards financial freedom.

Spanish School in Buenos Aires

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:22 pm

If I had a bucket list, it would include traveling. I think I would include going to this school I came across. It is a Spanish school in Buenos Aires. I live near the Mexican boarder and sometimes I feel like a foreigner in America because I don’t understand Spanish! I want to learn Spanish and this would be a great way to do it. This school is like going on a vacation. It is a pretty intense course to learn Spanish, but it also includes experiencing the culture. There are long days and weekends free. I’m not sure what the plane fare would be from here, but the course includes activities and accommodations at a reasonable cost.

For someone who wants to travel, one way is to teach English in South America. There is a certification available for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). It is set up like the Spanish school with the accommodations included. I’d like to find out what time of the year is best to go. I love helping and I’m sure I could be a good English teacher. It would be a way to bring in some extra bucks sometimes here where I live.

There are summer and semester programs available in Buenos Aries, Mendoza, and Patagonia in addition to the programs to learn and teach Spanish.

To have an inexpensive trip I could even volunteer abroad. There are still the great prices that include the following:

  • Volunteer placement
  • Airport pick up
  • Accommodations
  • Orientation
  • Internship counseling
  • Free cell phone
  • Cultural activities
  • Conversation partner
  • Coordinator 24/7

With volunteering it is about 4 hours a day so there would be more time to experience the area. I don’t need anything fancy; the basics will do me fine. When I am ready to experience new cultures, I’ll be checking this out again.

What is the secret in making money online?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:03 pm

When I first started developing websites, I had no idea that people where actually making money as publishers, selling advertisement to other people. I personally just enjoyed making the websites even though they looked hideous. It still felt good knowing that I made it. After a few years, I found Adsense… can’t remember how though. It intrigued my interest. The possibility of making money from my hideous websites sounded too good to be true but I thought it was worth a try. I slapped that Adsense code on to my website and just waited because I had no idea how many people actually looked at my website. Bad news… it wasn’t much!

You might think this discouraged me. You would be wrong because the first month with Adsense on it made a grand total of $6.00. Most people would say, “%$%$ this”! Not me. My thought process was thinking if I could make $6 a month what is stopping me from making $600 or even more. The common question posted everywhere, “What is the secret in making money online?” At that time, I didn’t really think about making the money. My focus was on learning not earning. Looking back at that moment, I was in the Work Hard process on earning money online. The focus wasn’t on making a lot of money it was to work hard on anything even though I didn’t know what to work on. The work hard process also blends into trial & error and finding a specific method processes. During those times of not knowing what to do I started making a To Do List so while I wasn’t by my computer I could write down the things I thought at the time would improve my website. My list include only things I thought would help my website and teach me knew techniques it had nothing to do with making money.

Now lets deeply ask the question, “What is the secret in making money online?”

It is very simple but not easy. Lets take a look at what you must do:

1. Develop any website
Use your first website to learn as much as possible don’t expect the cash to just flow in. WORK HARD.

2. Working out the kinks
While working hard on your first website, test different techniques to see which ones work. TRIAL & ERROR

3. Find what works
After awhile you’ll notice what works and what does not work. Start writing down and applying what works on your next website or even your first website. FINDING A SPECIFIC SUCCESSFUL PROCESS

Are you saying it is that easy? In my opinion, it is that simple. We tend to make things more complicated than necessary. With some hard work, trail & error, and finding a specific successful process, you can make money online. After you find a specific process in increasing your online income, you can begin the 3-step process over again to find another method.
