I’ve been working diligently on improving my Search Engine Rankings on a specific niche in my SEO Empire. Before learning about developing a SEO Empire from Blue Hat SEO blog, one of my main money making sites was ranking between the second and third page of Google for its major keyword. The site was receiving around 100 Daily Unique Visitors and earning $2.35 a day in June 2007.

Four months later, today, it has increased in rankings, visitors, and income. By learning more about SEO and putting it into practice, my main site in this SEO Empire is ranked 5th in Google, receiving close to 450 Daily Unique Visitors, and earning $9.59 a day. The reason for this change was a choice in learning as much possible about SEO. In June I posted SEO Learning Experience that explained I wanted to increase my rankings in search engines. Even though I haven’t reached my goal to be ranked 1st… yet… I’m still happy with the results. This doesn’t mean I’m done. I still have a lot to learn and test with SEO.

Until I’m ranked 1st in Google for my main keyword, I’ll be focusing on this Empire. After I accomplish this goal, I’ll begin a new SEO Empire on a new niche.

Textlinkads.com allows you to sell text link ads without worrying about finding advertisers and getting the payments. They do everything. Wait… there is one thing you’ll have to do. You’ll have to add the code to your sites after your done adding the code you just set it and leave it! Oh yeah, I forgot also you will have to find things to buy with your month check.

I’ve been using Text Link Ads since April 2007. It has been very nice source of income with little work. They make it very simple selling text links and allowing me not to worry about the dirty work finding advertisers. All I have to do is receive the money. I would highly recommend you to sign up and start easily selling links on your sites.

Normally, I don’t like to disclose the amount earned each month from an affiliate programs but I will this time.

About two days ago, I developed my first Landing Page, which is a single page that tries to convince the visitors to complete an action. For me this action is to have them choose a yes or no question that leads them to a page to enter their email for the chance to win a $500 visa card. The layout of the page is very simple with the header asking a question, an image with the two items, two buttons to click for the visitor to select, and finally a paragraph to persuasive them to click.

With following the instruction on Blue Hat SEO post, SEO Empire – Part 1, all of my related sites in My SEO Empire are linking upwards with the highest paying money sites on top of the empire. As of right now, my landing page is on top of my empire with all the below sites linking to it. This should improve the ranking for it in search engines. I have 8 (of course related) sites with around 200 pages linking to it. Obviously, I want to grow that number.

Seeing that this is my first landing page, I know that it will require a lot of tweaking to have the results that I’m looking for. Things that will probable change are the main image, and the persuasive content but we will see.

This site provides you with a collection of HostGator Coupons for the company, HostGator. Don’t allow the horrible colors to push you away because if you do use HostGator hosting company you could really save some money. No matter how ugly a site is if it can save you money you should use it. There are so many Godaddy coupon sites that are ugly but I still use them because I would rather buy an .info site for $0.99 than $2.99.

I would actually consider HostGator Coupon to be quite basic especially the color scheme. What is with the orange though! Personally, I think this is a prime example of a Gray Hat SEO site. The point of, Gray Hat SEO sites’, are to force search engines and other developers to question if it is legit. I would have to say this is an automated site. By adding an about us/review policies page it makes me question if the site is really legit.

The main part I like about this site is that has reviews from people about hostgator and of course the coupons.

Whatever this site is White, Gray, or Black Hat it still has the coupons to help whoever used HostGator Hosting Company and that is all that matters.

I would highly recommend it! For the past month, I’ve been reading on how to program in php. I’m not just talking about developing a site in PHP. I’m talking about developing php code that performs task. Learning as much as I have so far has allowed me to develop my first custom database website by using PHP and MYSQL. At first I was having a lot of problems understanding the code to have my site retrieve the data from the mysql database with php but eventually I started to understand. Seeing that I am a more visual learner I needed to test out different codes instead of just reading it or having someone tell me it. I would read it then try it!

If I didn’t decide to learn how to program in php, I can honestly say, “it would set me back in my success as an Internet Publisher”. If I knew what I know now, I would have begun learning how to program in the beginning. It makes the process of adding content and developing larger websites so much easier. The funny part is I’ve just scratched the surface of the programming and loving it already.

If you want to start learning about programming, begin with the basics even though it might seem over whelming. After a couple of weeks the code will begin making sense.

Do you have a website that needs more pages but you don’t know what topics these new pages should be? There is a very simple technique to find more topics that are related to your site by using adsense. Using this technique should also improve your click through rate by getting very specific pages based on the type of website that advertise through adsense to your website. What you’ll be doing is? After developing your website and getting targeted ads from adsense, you’ll be looking at the topics that advertisers are placing on your pages. If advertisers are paying for those topics, there must be money to make with them.

Instead of you paying, like your advertisers, to get traffic with those topics, you’ll be SEOing those topics to receive free traffic. I’ll be explaining the process of this Technique so newbies can understand.

Adsense Technique

1. Go to your website, www.yourwebsite.com.
2. Write down 10 different topics on a notepad. For example:

3. The topic is “Clean Shoes For Sale”.
4. After finding 10 different topics, choose one to write about. It should be at lease 200 words long but more would help. If you enjoy writing or outsourcing you could choose more then one but in this technique lets just set a small goal of one article.
5. When your finished writing the article, add it to your website and of course have your other pages linking to it.

Repeating this process can easily help you increase the size of your website, which would improve your rankings in search engines and earn money online.

Lately, I’ve been slacking on posting because I’ve been working very hard on learning new techniques on developing sites, databases, SEO empire, ect. The disappointing part is that i want to share it will you all but every time I try to write about it my mind goes blank on how to explain it. Most of you know my writing skills are limited but I have decided to stop using that as an excuse to not write about what I’m learning and just write about it. Even if it doesn’t make sense. As long as I keep practicing it will eventually make sense. I have decided to start out by writing my 6 month goals, which will make my deadline April 11th 2008.

I’ll be writing more because my wife has starting a morning job and I like to write in the morning better.

1. Finish my first SEO Empire
   I’ll be writing about my first SEO Empire a lot. These articles won’t be reveling the sites in the SEO Empire but will be reveling the techniques used. After reading Blue Hat SEO article,
   SEO Empire – Part 1. I’ve really dedicated myself to this way of developing. So far I have one of my sites in the Empire ranking 4th for its main keyword. I look forward in writing about this topic.
2. Grow sources of income
   Have at lease five checks coming in from different companies totaling enough to live on. These sources could consist of Adsense, Yahoo Publisher Network, Text Link Ads (If Google doesn’t eliminate them first), CJ, Copeac, and Kontera. I’ll be in search to find more companies and will keep everyone updated.
3. Post once a week on my blog
   Once a week shouldn’t be to difficult, I will write about Online stuff as well as personal stuff.
4. Earn in the low $x,xxx a month
   This is important but not my main focus point. I will focus on writing and suppling quality information on my sites and blog and let the money worry about itself.
5. Develop another affiliate site
   To increase my sources of income and not rely on adsense so much, I want to start developing more affiliate sites.
6. Improve my writing
   I will be keeping a little yellow pad next to my computer to write down ideas for blog post. I believe if I just write every change I get my skills will improve.

Well… Thats about all that I have to say about my goals. It is time to get started.

I’ve been thinking of something positive to talk about this blog/site, HostGator Coupon, but all I can think of is, “A basic blog with a nice list of HostGator coupons to save you money”. Then I begin really looking through his blog and realized it is a poor blog/site. The reasons I feel this way are:

1. The developer didn’t even spend the time to find a nice template.
2. The last three article posts are basically the same post over and over… lame!
3. The title is boring, “My HostGator Coupon and Review Blog”.
4. Not about or contact me pages
5. A few Error 404 pages

Even though I dislike this blog/site, I realize everyone has to start somewhere. The developer of this blog/site claims that hostgatorcoupon.com is only his or her second blog/site. If that is true, I understand and happy that at lease he or she is trying and the following are a few tips I would recommend following to improve the site.

Stop Poopin on Your Headers
Write more attention grabbing headers for example instead of “HostGator Coupon Blog – August Update” put “Need HostGator Coupons for August?” or “Save Money at HostGator!”

La Template
It doesn’t take that much time finding a clean template to make this site look more professional so I would recommend spending a day looking through templates for a new look.

Categories Pimpin
What can I say? The topics chosen for the categories makes me just want to say keyword spamming… It has hostgator three times. Change it so people would actually want to click on it to learn something new.

Snazzy Content
At first reading the article post, I thought BORING! It was basically reading the same thing three times. If nothing has changed with the coupons at lease make the content different.

That’s about all I have to say about this blog/site. I hope he or she does the changes but we will never know… Well that is not completely true. We will know if we ever check back on the site at a later date but you get my point we will never know or never care.
