WH-D.com Review

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:05 am

Sohaib Thiab is the creator of WH-D.com. WH-D is a social web-hosting directory. That means not only can you get information on the web-hosting options out there, you can get information from the people who are knowledgeable about them and using them. Another plus is that you can vote and post, too. WH-D is new and it is growing!

The web-hosting categories include:

  • Managed
  • Budget
  • Linux
  • Window
  • Reseller
  • VPS hosting

You will find articles about hosting and hosting news. If you need a discount code, WH-D has that also. Coupons will be available in the future.

What I like is that the information is sorted by votes from users; it’s not sorted and positioned by payment. The current popularity can be viewed by day (today or yesterday), week, or month. As a guest or a member, you can get involved by voting. Users are able to post articles, discount codes, reviews, and more as long as it relates to hosting.

Sohaib Thiab, CEO and co-founder of WH-D.com wants to empower the user. His belief:

“There is a universal shift in logic in the way information should be organized online. As the ideas of Web 2.0 continue to proliferate and become reality, it grows apparent that site patrons—and not site administrators or a marketing team—should determine how content is organized. Without patrons, even the best designed site is utterly useless.”

Sohaib has been doing SEO and link building for some clients and for himself for 2 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and is a certified SEO professional. His blog, Sohaib Thiab, is about his personal journey on the Internet.

Keep an eye on this site, as it grows it will become an even more valuable resource for information on hosting.

Jason McElway Overcoming a Challenge.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:00 pm

Every day challenges can prevent you from achieving your goals and wants. I’m here to tell you not to allow these challenges to overcome your drive. You are in control of your feelings, thoughts, and future. In this Inspirational video, this boy, Jason McElway is Autistic yet he didn’t allow this challenge in life to keep him from his passion, which is basketball. When he got his chance to shin (the couch called his number to play in a game), he snatched it. Not only did he get to play in the game, he was exceptionally good!

The reason he succeeded was his control over his feelings, thoughts, and future. Instead of feeling to scared and thinking he would screw up, he took the bull by the horn and took the shots for the basket. Instead of allowing his thoughts to scare him and keep him on the bench, he raised up for the challenge. Instead of being worried about the future, he was in control of his present time.

Next time your in a challenging situation as an Internet Publisher, stop for 5 minutes or however long you need and gain control over your feelings, thoughts, and future. Understand, you have the power to conquer any challenge life puts in front of you.

Happy Mother’s Day

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:59 pm

As a mother, have you ever thought you are under appreciated? Your kid/s never remember the 9 months of pain, crazy eating habits, and sickness that you went through before they where even born. Even though the day of their birth could be one of the most happiest days of your life, you would prefer not going through the pain but you do it anyways. How about the joy when your kid/s turn 13 years old and think they know everything and you know nothing, I know you really enjoy that. Another thing, how about when your kid gets sick with cancer and you have to take care of them and sacrifice your time, health, and feelings. At the same time, you must be strong for your child.

Keep in mind, every mother is special in her own way. She goes through ups and downs with her family.

You might be wondering what my point is… most of you know Jan is my mother. She has gone through all of what I previously said and she didn’t want a reward. All she requested was here kids grow up into responsible adults. As one of her kids, I think my brothers and sisters are very responsible and respectful to others and I am proud of my siblings, so I know my mother is too. With a mother like mine, it is very easy to become successful because she is a great mother.

I just want to say, “On your blog or on a piece of paper, tell your mother how much you love her, appreciate everything she has done for you, and anything else you can think of.”

I would like to wish my mother (Jan), Grandma (Sallie), Grandma (Nona), Mother-in-law (Angie), and Sister-in-Law (Kerrie) a happy Mothers Day, enjoy your day because tomorrow it goes back to normal.

“About a year ago I had hired a firm (Carbonon - carbonon.com) to create a site for me. 11 months have now passed and the site is no where near complete. I fired them 2 days ago and requested a 50% refund. They refused. So I have created another site, http://www.carbonon-scammers.com where I have written a review of their service. You can read the full story there.”

He requested people to help him out.

Adult ADD and Entrepreneurs

Post by Jan Pavis (Jan’s Ideas)

There seems to be a high percentage of entrepreneurs that have been diagnosed with or display the symptoms of adult ADD. I am one of the ones who displays the symptoms, but have not been diagnosed by a medical professional. It has caused one of my blogs, Jan’s Group Home Support, to be in the works for years. Even after I finally got it started, it was another year before I got it launched. I have abundant ideas with the inability to focus on any of them. My list of project ideas is excessively long. My list of completed projects is nearly non-existent. It is a constant struggle to be focused.

It can be a blessing and a curse to be medically diagnosed or self-diagnosed with adult ADD. Building on the blessings and managing the curse will help entrepreneurs to be more productive and efficient.

Today’s post will be information about ADD and include the following:

  • Symptoms
  • Causes
  • Treatments

Next week I will post on how to get focused and work with adult ADD instead of fighting adult ADD.
The symptoms of adult ADD:

Inattentive type of ADD

  • Difficulty paying close attention to details
  • Makes careless mistakes regularly
  • Gives the appearance of not paying attention when in a conversation
  • Inability to organize tasks and activities
  • Unable to follow through with instructions, schoolwork, jobs, household responsibilities, and other tasks
  • Extremely forgetful
  • Can’t keep track of tools, materials, and other items needed to complete tasks
  • Avoids, resists, and dislikes any activity that requires extended mental focus is needed
  • Anything and everything in the external environment can become a distraction
  • Forgetful in common daily activities
  • Random thoughts, ideas, and memories are distractive

Hyperactive/impulsive type of ADD

  • Hands and feet are fidgety
  • Squirmy when sitting
  • Unable to sit for extended periods when it is expected in situations
  • Situational inappropriate excessive movement and restlessness
  • Difficulty in quiet engagement of leisure activities
  • Constantly on the go and in motion
  • Excessively talks
  • Answers questions before question is finished and finishes sentences for others
  • Inability to wait when taking turns, standing in line, etc.
  • Interrupts and intrudes
  • Always “thinking” and thinking at an accelerated rate

Most people with ADD have a combination of both types of ADD with one being the predominant type.

The causes of adult ADD

ADD is biologically based. Some studies suggest a link to lower levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine in critical areas of the brain. Recently, the National Institute of Mental Health researchers using PET scans have observed significantly lower metabolic activity. This lowered levels of activity are in regions of the brain controlling attention, social judgment, and movement.

The treatments for adult ADD

  • Medication-stimulants are usually prescribed to increase activity in the parts of the brain that are under active. Antidepressants, major tranquilizers, and antihypertensive clonidine have sometimes been helpful. New treatment includes non-stimulant medication that is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor.
  • Behavior therapy-Strategies such as rewarding positive behavior changes and communicating clear expectations of those with ADHD have proven effective. It is extremely helpful when family members and teachers or employers are patient and understanding.
  • Self-education and evaluation-learning about the strengths and weaknesses of having ADD and learning to work with the symptoms instead of fighting them.
  • Other treatments-these may be effective but have no scientific documentation of being successful; biofeedback, special diets, allergy treatment, supplements, megavitamins, chiropractic adjustment, and special-colored glasses.

Depending on the degree and severity of adult ADD, it is up to each individual to choose which treatment if any is needed. When the symptoms interfere with daily living activities and keeping a job, it may be time to see a medical professional.

Ready to take the next big leap with your career? You can study anything from a distance learning psychology degree to an accredited online MBA. The psychology degree will help you figure out the ADD and the MBA will help with your business.

1 2 3 AdSense “click and miss”

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:24 am

On the AdSense Blog, they have announced another precaution “Don’t run the risk of click and miss” that you need to follow and be aware of. It is called Click and Miss, which is unintentionally clicks by your visitors. This could be caused by you placing AdSense to close to features on your site such as:

  1. In close proximity to Macromedia Flash games
  2. Under pop-ups or download prompts
  3. Near site navigation controls on your pages, such as drop-downs or menu links

What’s next? Publishers can only have AdSense with a big blinking image above it saying, “Don’t click on me! Unless you really really want to learn about this subject on another site which Google thinks it is related.” Did you notice the advertisement by Google because they will advertise their name anywhere and everywhere?

All joking aside, I understand what Google is trying to do. They want their advertiser to be happy even if it is at the expense of their publishers because their advertisers are their assets and publishers are their liabilities.

Would you do the same if you owned Google?

Accepted by ReviewMe

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:30 am

Awhile back I submitted bobschmuck.com to ReviewMe.com and at last they accepted me. I really like the concept of the reviews because they can be positive or negative… basically the review can be how I like or dislike the site being reviewed.

What is ReviewMe.com?
It is an advertisement company that allows me to review other sites of interest to my readers.

If you have a site that you would like me to review, click on my badge.

My plan is to have no more than 1 of these reviews for every 4 normal Blog post to prevent the quality to go down on bobschmuck.com. In the beginning you might see me review some unrelated sites to get in some practice because I very inexperienced in reviewing other sites. Eventually, the reviews will only be on related site.

Promotion Technique – Gain over 100 visitors in 60mins

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:00 pm

Do you want a promotion technique that works like a charm and increase your site’s traffic with target visitors?

Just got done eating dinner and thought it was time to lend a hand to you with an excellent promotion technique. This technique will get you a nice amount of targeted visitors and quality backlinks because we all know that backlinks and visitors are the two golden keys to success as an Internet Publisher.

Of course you’ll need a website to use this promotion technique.

First Step – Finding the news/review sites
The best way to find these related news/review sites are by using the Google search bar. You probably already knew I was going to say that because everyone uses Google for everything. However, you can use any type of search engine to find these news/review sites.

Finding the related news/review sites
In the Google search, type:

  1. “keyword” AND “news”
  2. “keyword” AND “review”
  3. “keyword” AND “reviews”

This will find you the related sites to your niche. These sites will normally welcome a well-written review on anything related to their site. When you find one of these sites, search through their site to find a way to contact them to submit your article. I would recommend finding around 40 of these sites. Keep in mind more of these sites you find the better result you’ll have.

Second Step – Writing the article
Find a related topic to your niche that you would think these news/review sites visitors would enjoy reading. The article is good quality with 400-500 words. If you would like to outsource to have your article wrote, the following is a few sources to find a writer.

You should be able to find someone to write your review article for $6.00 to $10.00. It matter of the quality of the article that you want.

Third Step – Sending the Request

The (Site Name) has posted a review of the (article name).

Extract:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Vivamus mattis posuere elit. Pellentesque hendrerit purus ut mauris. Curabitur et ligula sed nunc pulvinar facilisis. Praesent cursus. Morbi tempus. Etiam tempus venenatis enim. Suspendisse hendrerit, sem quis tempor.
