Reason for my wife’s post.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:56 pm

Wow! Let me explain to everyone the reason for my wife’s post.

Yesterday, she asked me if she could post on my Blog and I said of course but she didn’t know what to post about. We were thinking of ideas for her post topic, knowing that she dislikes Tyler Cruz, I thought it would be a funny first post for her. Everyone should know that blogs are for posting a person’s opinion. My wife is a very opinionated person and that is one of the reasons why I love her some much. She says how she feels and I don’t see any problem with it.

She even states In the beginning,

“Before I start to ramble, I do have to stress that this is in no way Bob’s (my husband) opinion, although he may agree with some of what I am about to say.”

Can’t everyone see that it was more for laughs based on her opinion? I thought the “How to spot a online douchebag” would make it clear.

What is a douchebag?
Personally, I don’t think a douchebag is a horrible word compared to BITCH or ASSHOLE. To me, Douchebag describes someone who thinks his or her shit doesn’t stink! The word is more of a joke to me. I didn’t think she needed to post, “The person who thinks his shit doesn’t stink that is Tyler Cruz”. It’s just not as funny. :)

The questions for the interview…
What the fuck? Tyler, you know those weren’t the questions I asked you! I never asked you about your age, adsense, or other dumb question. The questions were to help newcomers. Here are some of the questions:

  • Where did you locate finances, resources and any help?
  • If you could turn back time, would you change the way you did anything?
  • What are your plans for the future? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  • What advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs wishing to startup?

Those questions were written by a partner of mine at the time and I thought those questions could help a newcomer to the world of Internet publishing. After he agreed to the interview, he then told me “NO” after seeing the questions and told me to get better questions because I wouldn’t ask Bill Gates these questions, now would I? I liked the questions and didn’t think I needed to change them just for him because he thinks he’s special. I had also sent the Questions to a few other Internet publishers, they had NO problem with answering them, this is why she said that she thought he was stuck up and arrogant.

Admiring or jealous of him?
That is far from the truth! We are not jealous of him. Just because she posted her opinion of him doesn’t mean we admire him. A douchebag doesn’t mean admiring or jealously.

Link Baiting
No it wasn’t for link baiting it was just a post on her opinion of Tyler Cruz. I never thought it would get some much attention. After my wife seen a comment about Link baiting. She asked what is link baiting… She didn’t know and didn’t mean to post this opinion of him for it either nor did I.

For all those people who called her a bitch…
On Wickedfire.com, Why would you call my wife a dumb bitch or me after complaining that she calls someone else a douchebag? It doesn’t make sense to me for someone to complain about calling someone a name and then come back calling that person a name. Also WickedDUDE on Wickedfire.com, I’m a dumb idiot because I allow my wife to post her opinion of another person?

And to Kyle, who commented on my Blog, niether me nor my Wife would ever write anythig bad about Jon Waraas, he is a cool guy and has been very helpful to me and other newcomers.

Most of the negative responses were from Wickedfire on this post, Funny Shit “aboat” (get it he’s Canadian, hahaha) Tyler Cruz!

The Douchebag That Is Tyler Cruz

You heard it first by Meghan Schmuck

Today you will not be reading the normal ramblings of my wonderful husband, but instead I will be doing the rambling.

Before I start to ramble, I do have to stress that this is in no way Bob’s (my husband) opinion, although he may agree with some of what I am about to say.

Tyler Cruz….there is only one word to sum up the guy…..douchebag. My husband has had a few run ins with the boy, I find him to be completely arrogant and stuck up. Not only through personal experience have i got this impression off him, but through his blog. I have read his blog and have thought to myself, man what a douchebag.

How to spot a online douchebag

1. When you send a list of question to the supposed douchebag, after him agreeing to do an interview, he will send it back and say he was insulted because the questions were not good enough for him to answer.

2. Will refer to themselves as “like Bill Gates”.

3. They post thing such as, and I quote…

“A week ago, in my Grasping Opportunities: Making Money out of Nothing post, I showcased my successful brokering of a very premium domain. Immediately following the post I started receiving quite a few e-mails from people asking me to sell their domains.Even though I specifically disclaimed people to only contact me if they had a truely premium domain…
… I inevitably received the expected e-mails from people who completely overvalue and overprice their domains. I won’t name names here or give out specific examples to protect the guilty. This happens all the time… people all too often overvalue domains.

To illustrate this point, I’m going to go search right now for some random domains for sale. I’ll give myself 5-minutes. Be right back…..”

4. They display their daily average.

So that, my friends, is how to spot an online douchebag.

I would like to take the time and help those who may be in serious trouble of becoming an online douchebag. Don’t worry, it is reversible, just take down your daily average and remember the little people. Be humble. Remember, the first step to recovery is noticing your douchebag ways, and taking down your daily average damn it.

Filtering Traffic…

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:08 pm

In the comments, Dave asked, “How do you have your code setup to display AdSense to non-us people with YPN to us residents?”

Two Easy Steps

  1. Download geoIP.dat and geoIP.inc files (test folder)
Maxmind.com provides these two files, which will allow you to setup a free version of geotargeting for a php based site with 98% accuracy. The geoIP files are basically a database of countries.
  2. Create the test.php
Create a test.php file in the same directory as the geoIP files. You’ll be adding the following code into the test.php file. Replace the AdSense and YPN coding with yours also keep the “quotes” in both the ad code with the backslashes as shown. example code. On this page.

You should be able to easily modify the coding to work with your site. To find out more, checkout this article on Advertisement Geotargetting with PHP. It has more in-depth information on doing this.

Showing Love: Other Internet Entrepreneurs!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:50 pm

I’ve been searching through my links and MyBlogLog Community, having a great time reading other blogs, who are on the same path to be successful online. You’ll be amazed with the amount of great advice and knowledge these people have even if they are young or old.

I would like to share some love to these people for sharing their knowledge to help others. Eventually, I would like to get to know these people better. So enjoy reading their blogs, I know I did.

Bryan Le
We have talked a little and he has so much great information on his blog about his projects. One of his projects, Forum Shock, has been doing well. I’ve personally used his forum posting service before and really enjoyed it

Chris Gill
We just exchanged links, I linked to his blog and he linked his Video Game News site to my Arcade Flash Game site. I would really like to talk to him more because he seem like a great person on the right path to success.

Jimmy Reimer
A very giving person. He just wrote a great article post to help his readers. I’ve talked to him a bit and he asked for a little guidance; however, my time has been very limited and unable to help him yet… Sorry Jimmy. :(

Jakowenko
Never talked before but would like to in the future. He provides a hosting service, Brius, which I’ve never tried but it has great prices and looks very professional. If you’re in search for a hosting, it’s only $1 for a shared account with no contract. What do you have to loss.. It’s a $1. :)

Alex Shalman
He has wonderful information on Goal Setting, which we all know everyone has trouble setting and sticking with goals.

Josh Buckley
Very in-depth information on his current projects, which is very interesting to read.

Well… I hope you enjoyed the first batch of showing the love to other Internet Entrepreneurs on the path to success. You’ll be seeing more in the future.

Gameoftheday.net – bustin my balls!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:09 pm

Gameoftheday.net isn’t doing to well! So far this month, it’s losing money with a daily average of $1.37. This average needs to be over $3.33 to gain a profit. To fix this problem, I’ll be adding more content and trying different affiliates. I’ve never attempted affiliates before until this project. It hasn’t been successful yet but I’m going to keep at it until I learn how to properly use affiliates on my sites. Well… got to get working on adding more content on Gameoftheday.net.

Here are the income stats so far. If your wondering how I making money from adsense and yahoo at the same time, I’m using a code to show US traffic the YPN ads and non-US traffic AdSense ads.

My first SIGN UP on AGLOCO

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:00 am

Yesterday, I checked my stats on AGLOCO and found that I have one Direct Referral. It didn’t make me jump with excitement but it did make me crack a smile. :) If you still don’t know about AGLOCO, it’s a company that pays you to do regular activity online and the people in your network. The program is still in beta version so not available, yet.

If its not available, why should I sign up?
Very easy to answer… Because I said please! Joking. as an early member, you can begin recruiting new members to be in your network. Seeing that your friends and blog members will not yet know about it, you have a better chance to have them sign up. Begin growing your network so when the toolbar is released, you can just watch the cash roll in.

If you need to know more about it go check out their site, AGLOCO.

John Chow, birds love him!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:02 pm

In the late 1990s, John Chow begun with a small technology site, The Tech Zone. It was originally named Moto’s Project 504, which was his personal home page about building his first computer. He never attended to develop this into a hardware review site that receives over 200,000 page views a day but with is dedication it has. I believe the reason for his success was because he focused on developing a site to help his visitors learn about different types of computer hardware instead of worrying about how much money he will earn even though he makes a lot of cashola, now. He didn’t worry about it in the beginning.

If you are in search for a Dot Com Mogul that’s updated all the time, John Chow’s Blog is for you. For example, during writing this article he posted a new article on SearchStatus FireFox Add-on. Even if your beginning your journey or been around for a while, you can learn a lot from reading his Blog. Through out Jon Chow’s Blog you will find very useful article on how he has traveled his journey to success.

The “Top Post” is my most favorite part because that way I don’t have to weed through his entire dinner picture to find some real useful information. John? Do we really have to see you spend over $1,000 at dinner? Kidding, it is actually great inspiration cause I know one of these days I’ll be posting about my dinner outing where I’ll be spent more than my current monthly rent bill! You’ll know when I reached that point because I’ll be that guy in the picture stuffing my face with a retarded look.

I’m done… so go visit his Blog at johnchow.com not to just read his miscellaneous ramblings but because birds love him and gosh darn it we should too. :)

Also checkout his article on, Review My Blog & Get A Free Linkback. You could be the next one to fall in love with the birdman, John Chow.

Gameoftheday.net - end of the first month.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:11 pm

Gameoftheday.net first month was a success because it was able to earn $100.11 with only investing $31.00 in to the project. I hope this project has taught you as much as it taught me. I know the main thing I learned was to stay focused and battle through the problems. The following is a review of the earnings, expenses, and visitors since the grand re-opening.

Earned income

o $93.02, Yahoo Publisher Network
o $7.03, Google AdSense
o $0.06, Adversal

o $100.11, total

Expenses

o $10.00, Domain
o $20.00, Advertisement
o $1.00, Link exchange request on sitepoint.com

o $31.00 Total

Visitors

o 3,107 Visitors (approximately)

Damn. Gameoftheday.net had some sweet numbers for the first month. Will the second month out do the first month? We will see. :) You need to know that you can do the same thing. You don’t have to be smart to be successful. You just need to start and begin your trial & error. This project was able to turn $31.00 into $100.11 in only a month, which would make anyone happy because that’s a 322% return (I think). Even if your project only earns $10.00 the first month, you should still be happy cause you would be able to reinvest it into advertisement and earn more the following month. Anyone can do this too; however, I would recommend a better niche with higher paying keywords.

For the second month, I’ll be reinvesting most of the earn money from the first month into advertisement. I’ve bought $97.27 worth of advertisement from adengage.com. This makes me a little worried because I’ve never spent this much before on a project. The advertisement starts tomorrow, February 8th, with a few added improvements to gameoftheday.net.

I’ll be adding another page with 50 random funny in-game pictures with captions tomorrow. This should improve the project

For the next week, I’ll be tweaking the advertisements until it generates a positive return. After the tweaking is done, gameoftheday.net will be finished and I’ll be moving onto a new project. I’ll still keep everyone updated on the project for the next month.

Even if you only have $10, use it to purchase a domain and begin developing a site and start your trial & error process. Sooner you start the trial & error the sooner you’ll become successful.

The path to $1,643.00

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:55 am

I haven’t forgotten about my target to earn $1,643.00 on the second month since the grand re-opening of gameoftheday.net. The second month starts on February 8th then the real challenge begins. I’ll be adding more extra features to the site to improve the quality and give the visitors more of a reason to return and tell their friends. So far, the site has earned about $100.00 with 6 days left on the first month. I’ll be spending that hundred on advertisement for the second month. The plan is to turn that $100.00 into $1,643.00 with YPN, AdSense, affiliates, and text-link-ads. The following is the list of the things that need to be done by February 8th.

Gameoftheday.net – To do list

  • I’ll be sending a request to write about gameoftheday.net to about 40 different arcade game news sites. Never tried this before but I want to give it a try. :)
  • Add another page with - they will be keep a secret until the 8th - 50 special arcade pictures. This should add another uniqueness to the site and give visitors another reason to visit.
  • Purchase $100.00 worth of advertisement on adengage.com.
  • Post the gameoftheday.net on forums requesting reviews

Achieving this goal will mean a lot to me. The words, “I can do this” are repeating in my head. Never have I ever done a target as large as this one. I’ll keep everyone updated. Remember it all begins on February 8th.
