Did you know? You can’t have images next to Adsense ads. It was posted on their blog adsense.blogspot.com stating that publishers are not allowed to associated images with advertisement. Thats bad news for me because I have/had a few sites with ads next to images. I’ve already rearranged the ads on one of my sites.

Well… I guess I need to fix all my sites. 
Today, after 11 days, Gameoftheday.net is having its Grand Re-Opening with 68 active arcade flash games and a complete redesign. This project has been a learning experience with a few obstacles to overcome. For example, the CMS (cutenews), which allowed me to have the arcade flash games update daily, was very difficult to work with; however, All the obstacles were worth the irritation because I’m very happy with the end results.
Now comes the fun part… Promoting Gameoftheday.net. I’ve just purchased $20 worth of advertisements for a month (Jan 8th to Feb 8th) and I posted a thread on sitepoint to link exchange for $1. Here is a break down of the money spent on this site.

- Total $31
Seeing that I’ve spent a total of $31, gameoftheday.net must earn over $1.05 a day for the next month to have any profit.

Gameoftheday.net is coming along excellent. The development part is about 85% done. I need to still add more content and arcade flash games. The backend part of the site still needs a little work but it shouldn’t take me to long. On future projects, I definitely want to outsource these tasks in the developing stage so I can focus on the promoting stage.
I’m having trouble with Cutenews archiving option… The archives are unorganized with it starting on December 3rd and ending on December 18th and the other days are scrambled in between. I’ve been trying to figure out how to fix this problem since yesterday; however, finally today I fixed it with a “sort news hack”, which didn’t completely fix the problem but doable. This is very annoying! I’ll keep everyone updated.

I would like to wish Dennis a Happy Birthday. “Who is Dennis?†You might ask. He is a fellow Internet Entrepreneur who is establishing a foundation for success. I haven’t talked to him too much before but he seems like a great guy with a lot of potential. Check out his Blog, Dennis. It’s a great place to learn more about him.

Last night, I started the task of changing the color scheme and design on www.gameoftheday.net. The color scheme is basically darker and the design reminds me of a fussy TV. I added the images of the arcade flash games to the top right side of the page to give it uniqueness. I really like the design of the site.
Design Key Facts:
I’m no expert in designing sites; however, I know the basics. My main goal is to become an Internet Entrepreneur and not a designer so the design isn’t anything to worry about. My main concern is to have the site perform. On future projects, I will be outsourcing the task of designing the site to people who are more skilled then me.
At the end of this month, I will be having www.gameoftheday.net Grand Re-Opening.
