Gameoftheday.net - end of the first month.
Gameoftheday.net first month was a success because it was able to earn $100.11 with only investing $31.00 in to the project. I hope this project has taught you as much as it taught me. I know the main thing I learned was to stay focused and battle through the problems. The following is a review of the earnings, expenses, and visitors since the grand re-opening.
Earned income
o $93.02, Yahoo Publisher Network
o $7.03, Google AdSense
o $0.06, Adversal
o $100.11, total
Expenses
o $10.00, Domain
o $20.00, Advertisement
o $1.00, Link exchange request on sitepoint.com
o $31.00 Total
Visitors
o 3,107 Visitors (approximately)
Damn. Gameoftheday.net had some sweet numbers for the first month. Will the second month out do the first month? We will see.
You need to know that you can do the same thing. You don’t have to be smart to be successful. You just need to start and begin your trial & error. This project was able to turn $31.00 into $100.11 in only a month, which would make anyone happy because that’s a 322% return (I think). Even if your project only earns $10.00 the first month, you should still be happy cause you would be able to reinvest it into advertisement and earn more the following month. Anyone can do this too; however, I would recommend a better niche with higher paying keywords.
For the second month, I’ll be reinvesting most of the earn money from the first month into advertisement. I’ve bought $97.27 worth of advertisement from adengage.com. This makes me a little worried because I’ve never spent this much before on a project. The advertisement starts tomorrow, February 8th, with a few added improvements to gameoftheday.net.
I’ll be adding another page with 50 random funny in-game pictures with captions tomorrow. This should improve the project
For the next week, I’ll be tweaking the advertisements until it generates a positive return. After the tweaking is done, gameoftheday.net will be finished and I’ll be moving onto a new project. I’ll still keep everyone updated on the project for the next month.
Even if you only have $10, use it to purchase a domain and begin developing a site and start your trial & error process. Sooner you start the trial & error the sooner you’ll become successful.

I’d be extremely careful Bob with buying everything in one sweep. Ive been playing around and I could tell you the result from the top sites on adengage that arent so great. Did you notice you get 100+ one day and like 4 the next? or is it just me?

That’s a great return, and very inspirational! I’m hoping this kind of success with my new site. I love posts like these!

Where did you buy the traffic from, the 20 dollars?

Harvard, I did have that problem but I am still new buying traffic there. I was getting main between 20-60 visitors a day and one day it got over 100 visitors. Thanks for the heads up though I’ll keep a close eye on it.
J.R., I’m glad its giving you inspiration. You’ll really like my next post.
I bought the advertisement from a foreign site (0.01 per click) on AdEngage.com.
